Important Note[]
This is the updated version of this post. And while that post focused on fastest lvl to get "multiplier > 3" dice but instead focus on maximum damage dealt when they are lv 99 (in term of long run). You can still comment at this post if something is not right or you have a idea to tell me. Again,Healers and Poisoners are NOT tiered due to their own UNIQUENESS(Yes they are :D). Lastly, please READ the "Damage Per Roll" paragraph before proceed.
Version History[]
- V.1.0 - Created this guide
- V.1.1 - Added Calculations on some monsters
- V.1.2 - Make pure text to table for easier reading , completed calculations and merged tier H, I and J
- V.1.2.1 - Make Deah Kiss to tier S- and added Ricochet to tier G
- V.1.3 - Added version history and make Death Kiss to Tier S. Also added Trico to tier F+
What's Damage Per Roll(DPR)?[]
Damage Per Roll is a damage of monster which is calculated by averages of CORE attack die (normal attack, double attack, etc.) with the multipliers. That means the monsters that gonna calculated only equipped with core dice and multipliers. For the core attack dice, I use the value of 4. Why? Because 4 is average of 2-6 and you can't roll 1 to deal damage. For multipliers, I average ALL of its values. Example, Attack multiplier 1-6 can be rolled with result of 1-6 so its values is average to 3.5. This value is NOT multiplied with ANY item boosts. Also, this calculation method also refer from this post. Thx D-Rodd for this great and useful post.
Here is the example of Ninja's Damage Per Roll(DPR) calculation.
This Ninja is lv 99. So his dice setup would be
l Attack Core l Multiplier 1-5 l Multiplier 1-6 l Multiplier > 3 l
His DPR would be 4(average of attack dice)*3(Average of 1-5 dice)*3.5(Average of 1-6 dice)*5(Average of > 3 dice) = 210. If he is monster he would be at tier H. As D-Rodd said, equip dice same with core got DPR multiplied with 1.95 so it would better if you gonna equip multiply 1-3 instead of other dice same as core.
Tier S[]
This Tier is proved to be "best" of ALL monsters. Too bad most of them only is avaliable from Monster Hunter except Death Kiss. You can call this tier "UBER".
Tier S+[]
Hail the Bulbon. He is the king of TDD because of his very powerful Quadruple Core with 2 Multiplier > 2 and Multiplier > 3 make his DPR sky high to 1620. (Quadruple@4, Multiply>2@4.5, Multiply>2@4.5, Multiply>3@5) While his maximum DPR is as much as 5184! Only one monster got this high DPR so far.
Tier S[]
Bulbon is the King. These monsters are the princes. Even they don't have DPR as much as Bulbon, but they got very high DPR which is notable and worthly to use.

Tier A[]
While not as powerful as Tier S, but they are very powerful if compare with rest of monsters. Most of them are catchable for FREE except some of them tho.
Tier A[]
With their great triple attack core and nice dice set. They are very dangerous treat and very good monsters to train with.

Tier A-[]
While they are underrated and not as powerful as Tier A and Tier A+, they are still dangerous monsters and got big DPR.

Tier B[]
This tier may not dangerous as Tier A but they are still dangerous and worth to train and catch. All of them got great triple attack core dice and good dice set.

Tier C[]
Still worth to train and deal big DPR. Most of monsters here because of their decent Double Attack core. If they got Triple Attack core they would be at Tier A.
Tier C+[]
These monster should be called "lucker" because of their multiplier don't as much as powerful as above but their maximum DPR are so BIG. If you feeling lucky you can use them > >.

Tier C[]
As I said before, they got decent Double core dice while they get powerful dice set. They are still worth to train while they aren't as powerful as Tier A and B.

Tier D[]
This Tier is not as powerful as 4 above tiers but they are still worth enough to train. But due to their core dice, their maximum DPR are more than Tier C :D except Rawr which is got only Double Attack core.

Tier E[]
With most of them got decent double attack core dice and usable dice set D. They are still usable and deal decent DPR. (Except for Duke of Nothing)
Monster | DPR | Maximum DPR | Core Dice | Ideal Dice Set | Calculation |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

Tier E Special[]
These monsters aren't same as above but instead got attack core dice, they got triple core dice! "But why there are here?" "Do you say poisoners aren't here?" Yes,I said. While they got poison core they aren't good poisoners (lack of double dice and don't have poison all dice),they are good at attacking instead. So their DPR is only calculated with 3 dice (Sextuple attack, Multiply > 2 and Multiply > 3) with poison core ignored (treat poison damage as filler). Keep in mind that they got only 2 multipliers so their maximum DPR are very low.
Monster | DPR | Maximum DPR | Core Dice | Ideal Dice Set | Calculation |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Decider for Fates | 540 | 864 | Triple Poison | Sextuple Attack l Multiply > 2 l Multiply > 3 | Sextuple@6, Multiply>2@4.5, Multiply>3@5 |
Vert | 540 | 864 | Triple Poison | Sextuple Attack l Multiply > 2 l Multiply > 3 | Sextuple@6, Multiply>2@4.5, Multiply>3@5 |
Tier F[]
After Tier E,these monsters are getting weaker and weaker now. The decisions is yours now.
Tier F+[]
Trico is only one belongs here. While he got great Triple Water Attack core dice, he got ugly dice set and only be able to be equipped only Multiply 1-3, Multiply >1 and Multiply >3 which makes him got only 480 DPR (Triple@3, Multiply1-3@2, Multiply>1@4, Multiply>3@5).

Tier H,You should avoid training them.[]
I don't wanna list monsters anymore because their DPR is below than 300. They can't even go to Dark Tower at lv 99. You should avoid training them to lv 99 unless you just want to fill info in this wiki. Rest of monsters those I didn't listed belong here EXCEPT HEALERS AND POISONERS because of their own uniqueness.
Before you go[]
If there is any mistake I would say sorry for that mistake(s). Any suggestion and criticize are ACCEPTED. Thx to ALL OF YOU as you making this wiki better and spend time reading this :). I hope this posy help you. Have fun!
