Items

Items in Tiny Dice Dungeon have a range of stat bonuses that allow you to cause higher/lower damage, or take more/less damage.

How items work

Attack (ATK)

The equipped item increases the damage of the hero/monster depending on: A) What they are attacking and B) What element they are themselves.  A fire monster equipped with a '+5% fire attack' item will: A) Do 5% more damage against fire, and B) Do 5% more damage with fire-based attacks.

Items will NOT boost each other's bonuses, so a +40% attack and a +50% attack will result in 190% total damage, not 210%.

Physical based monsters (symbolized by a sword ) will have their damage boosted equal to the physical ATK percentage of their equipped item when fighting elemental monsters, however if the player is fighting physical monster then he/she receives 50% higher damage multiplier for each item equipped. For example:  A +40% Physical ATK item will: A) Add 40% to all Physical damage they do, and B) Add another 20% to all damage against Physical based monsters on top of that for a total of +60% to the damage multiplier ().

Poison

Poison (symbolized by a vial ) ATK does NOT effect the damage multiplier (), instead it directly affects the dice totals. For example: Rolling a 4 on a poison die with +200% Poison ATK means your "DICE TOTALS: POISON:" will be equal to 12 instead of 4. At least two things are true when it comes to poison attacks: A) The damage multiplier can NEVER affect poison damage, and B) The dice total for poison will always round up (e.g. rolling a 2 on a poison die with an item that boost Poison ATK by +1% will result in a 3).

Defense (DEF)

Poison

The Poison Resistance will always work AFTER the Poison Damage is applied and will resist only the remaining Poison Mark on the target. All Elemental monsters have a natural 20% of Poison Resistance. For example: if you attack a Physical monster with 80 Poison Damage, it will have a 80 Poison Mark on its head and it will take 80 damage on its turn, after that the Poison Mark will decrease by half, 40, and the monster will take 40 damage and so on until the Poison Mark goes 0, but if you attack an Elemental monster with 80 Poison Damage, it will take 80 damage but after that, the Poison Mark will be 32, not 40 (20% of 40 is 8, so 40-8=32).

Health Regeneration

Health Regeneration (symbolized by a heart ) does NOT in actuality have a separate ATK/DEF (i.e. you only need pay attention to either the ATK OR DEF number to know the health regeneration percentage). This also accounts for the fact that every single item with health regeneration has the same number in both ATK/DEF (for health). Equipping an item with health regeneration will effect your "DICE TOTALS: HEALTH:" number and it will always round up (e.g. rolling a 2 on a health die with an item that boost health by +1% will result in a 3).

It is Important to note that items with health regeneration do NOT stack as each one will give a separate bonus. For example: Having 4 items equipped with health bonuses of 30%/25%/15%/1% and then rolling a 5 would result in bonus four separately calculated bonuses (being 2/2/1/1, remember these are all rounded up), added together your total health die roll would be equal to 11 instead of 9, which would be higher than the percentages added together (71% would only be a bonus of 4).
